You will learn how to make two naturally dyed scarves imprinted with flowers and leaves, beeswax wraps (the perfect alternative to plastic wrap!), natural jasmine moisturiser cream, and a woven hanging pot holder using industry waste and fabric.
You will take home 2 x silk scarves, 3 x beeswax wraps, 1 x pot of moisturiser cream, 1 x hanging plant holder. You can make more of each item during the workshop at an additional fee per item to cover material costs. Please email for the price list.

THE VENUE
Located a stones throw from the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, 1hr drive north of Hornsby, in Blackalls Park (Newcastle Region), only 10mins from the Pacific Motorway. This workshop will be held at the urban permaculture property of Michelle, in her home textile studio. Nestled on the edge of a paperbark forest, you'll be surrounded by a thriving garden, ducks and a chook or two!
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Michelle is an experienced artist, a graduate of The College of Fine Arts in Sydney. Her fascination with colour, textiles, and love for plants has been combined in her continued study and exploration of weaving & natural dying, recieving recent tuition with master weaver Matt Tommey (US) & master dyer Aboubaker Fofana. She is founder of Michelle Leilani, a sustainable textile company specialising in the art of natural dying.
